We have two blog worlds we follow. The adoption blog world and the congentive heart defect world. We have met some from both worlds. Some even over lap....the Brown family! We follow the Gledhill's blog very closely. Their 11 month old baby was born with the same defect as Austin only it is on the left side of the heart which makes it much worse. Their baby was put on the transplant list 3 days ago, and today, another family's loss was the Gledhill's blessing. Gracie received her heart just hours ago. Please pray for Gracie and her family as the new heart is in, but there are some serious complications, and for the family who lost their baby, but so generously donated its organs for another. The site will help you see life in an eternal perspective. **Gracie is rejecting her new heart. They don't know yet if she got a bad heart or what has happened. Please pray for her.http://thegledhillfamily.blogspot.com
At my kids' school, the take one week out of the year where they get to learn hands-on about some sort of subject. Last year Alex did Art. One year he did physical fitness. This year he did World Religions. They visited Buddhist, Hindu, LDS, Catholic, Muslim, Jewish and Greek Orthodox churches. They learned about their teachings and about their traditions. I went to the Hindu temple with them. It was interesting to learn about the religion, see their temple and they got to race llamas and see many gorgeous animals. The lady who taught us about Hindu, had a parrot she put down by Alex's lunch and let him eat off of his plate. She said they believe the parrot, or any animal is equal to people and the bird should be able to eat from Alex's plate. Alex was not thrilled. He was polite though and let it happen. Since they are vegetarians, they prepared for us a traditional lunch. It was very good. We learned a lot. Here are some of my favorite pictures. I videotaped the kids raci...

My heart is broken this morning as I read Michelle Gledhill's post. Her plea to Gracie and Heavenly Father touched me. I can't even imagine being in her position. Almost a year ago Kai was two beds away from Gracie Gledhill. Michelle and Gracie have endured a huge year. My prayers will be that they both may find peace with the Father's will.
Love
