It is so good to be a mother. I will not lie to you. It is hard. Very hard. Sometimes locking yourself in your room sounds terrific, but truly if you look at it all...it is great! Today Alex said, "I am sure glad we got Maylin." So am I. So glad my son feels the same way too. She has changed so much in the short 5 months we have had her. Today at Church she went to nursery during Sunday School. That is for 18 months to 3 years. They play, have a snack and a short lesson. She will be 18 months this week so I thought I would see how it would go. I stayed for an hour, then left for the last hour. She did great! That's with a capital G! Broke my heart. She is growing and it didn't help the crib came down yesterday. Where has my baby gone? Attached is a picture of her hair today. Spongy curlers are cool! She is so cute. Here are a few things to share that make us smile: 1)She is into taking off her clothes. Don't you remember a month ago she was putting extra clothes on? Well, now they are off and she doesn't care where we are. 2)She points to herself and says "Nini". She also points to the Chinese people she sees and says, "Nini". Hummmm, she knows what or who she looks like. 3)We ask her where is your eye, nose, leg, toes, ear, etc and she points. Then you ask her where her knee is. She points to her chest and says "Nini." LOL! Hey, she is close. Kinda like bear and bare and hair and hare. 4)She loves to put her head over the air conditioning vents. It makes her laugh to have her hair blown.
Also, included are pictures of Alex's fort that he has built in a little tree and across a ditch. Sigh, a ditch, but hey, I am letting him be a boy. My family that knows I am a big safety freak would be proud. I guess I should fess up that it only runs 3 inches deep. And I measured. He and his buddy built it themselves. He is so proud of it!
