NieNie Dialogues: April 18, 2019
Stephanie relied a lot on her sisters during her accident. In this post she wrote about how much she used to look like her sister Lucy and how her daughter Claire reminds her of Lucy. She said, "I see myself in my daughters even if my daughters don't necessarily physically see me in them. And I see myself in my sisters, and am grateful my daughters have a physical reminder of me in my sisters." She expressed her love for her sisters and was grateful for the part they played in her life.
Since Stephanie loved her sisters so much, I wrote my sister a note of how much I love and appreciate her. I only have one sister and she is pretty great. I loved how Stephanie hoped her girls would see what she used to look like before her accident. That's a great comfort to Stephanie because it will help her daughters know in a way where they got their looks from. I don't look like my sister, obviously, but it doesn't seem to matter to her. My sister treats me so great and says I am her best friend. We may not look alike but we love to shop, watch movies, do facials, listen to music, and just be together. Sisters are pretty important. I am glad I have one.

DEAR MCKENZIE,
I AM SO GRATEFUL FOR YOU BECAUSE YOU TEACH ME TO BE MODEST AND TO DATE
THE RIGHT GUYS. I THINK IT IS FUN BECAUSE YOU DO THE THINGS THAT I WANT TO DO
AND I DO THINGS THAT YOU WANT TO DO. YOU ARE GOING TO BE A GREAT MOTHER TO YOUR
KIDS AND YOU ARE A GREAT AUNT. WHEN OUR NIECES AND NEPHEWS GET OLDER YOU
WILL BE SO GOOD WITH THEM. EVEN THOUGH SOMETIMES I DON’T ACKNOWLEDGE THE THINGS YOU
DO, JUST KNOW THAT I KEEP IT IN MY HEART. THANK YOU FOR INCLUDING ME WHEN I
FEEL LEFT OUT. THANK YOU FOR BEING UNDERSTANDING WHEN I AM BEING ORNERY. THANK
